There are plenty of places to get a massage. What makes Bodylogic different isn't that we offer massage. It's how we think about it.
We believe every decision matters. The therapists we hire. The products we choose. The equipment we invest in. The enhancements we recommend. Even the oil that touches your skin.
We're independent, so we don't follow a corporate playbook or stock products because someone tells us to. Every treatment, enhancement, and product has earned its place because we believe it makes your experience better.
We spend a lot of time researching, testing, comparing, and sometimes deciding something isn't worth offering.
Whether you're looking to relax, recover, or simply feel better, we'll help you find the treatment that's right for your body, not just the one with the fanciest name.
Instead of leading with treatments, let's start with your goal and need.
Slow down, breathe, and unplug
Something specific bothering you? Let's get into it.
Help your body bounce back.
After workouts, travel, or long days on your feet, these treatments help your body recover so you can keep doing what you love.
Growing a tiny human is hard work.
Healing takes time. Let's support the process.
You don't have to figure it out alone.
Tell us your goal, and we'll help you choose the right massage and the right therapist. Prefer to book online? Go for it. Need a little guidance first? Just give us a call or send us a text. Want to go deeper? Read How to Find the Best Massage in Long Beach.
In most cases, you don't.
We may ask for medical clearance if you've recently had surgery, are currently undergoing cancer treatment, have a condition that limits physical activity, or your physician has recommended precautions. Certain situations, like an active fever or contagious illness, are also best postponed until you're feeling better.
If you're unsure, don't guess. Give us a call or send us a text. We're happy to help determine the safest next step.
Consistency beats intensity.
Whether you come every week, every other week, or once a month, regular massage almost always produces better long-term results than waiting until your body forces you to make an appointment.
That's one of the reasons we created our Maintenance Membership, which rewards consistency rather than encouraging the occasional splurge.
Everyone starts somewhere.
Think of your first massage like getting back to the gym after a long break. Resist the temptation to do too much too soon. While we're happy to focus on a specific problem area, many people benefit from starting with a balanced session and letting their body respond.
It's also completely normal to feel a little sore afterward, especially if your muscles haven't been worked in a while. Most people find any tenderness fades within a day or two, leaving them feeling looser, lighter, and more comfortable.
A little soreness can be normal. Feeling worse is not.
It's common to feel relaxed, looser, and more mobile after a massage. If it's been a while or you've had deeper therapeutic work, you may also experience mild soreness for a day or two, similar to how you might feel after a good workout.
Stay hydrated, keep moving, and pay attention to how your body responds. If you ever have questions after your session, we're just a call or text away.
Not even close.
One of the biggest misconceptions about massage is that more pressure automatically means better results.
Sometimes deep work is exactly what's needed. Other times, it's the fastest way to make muscles tighten up and fight back.
A skilled therapist adjusts pressure based on what your body needs, not on how much discomfort you can tolerate.
Only to your level of comfort.
Most guests choose to fully undress because we take professional draping seriously. Your therapist only uncovers the area being worked on, keeping the rest of your body comfortably covered throughout your session. You'll never be exposed during your massage.
Every massage at Bodylogic is performed by a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist, trained to maintain your comfort, privacy, and professionalism from beginning to end. If you'd prefer to leave your underwear on, that's completely fine.
Absolutely.
If you have a preference for a particular therapist, or simply feel more comfortable with a therapist of a specific gender, we're happy to accommodate your request. Every member of our team is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist who has been carefully selected not only for their clinical skill, but also for their professionalism, communication, and commitment to exceptional client care.
If you don't have a preference, we'll recommend the therapist we believe is the best fit for your goals and personality.
Guests of all ages are welcome.
If you're 17, we'll just need written consent from a parent or legal guardian. They're also welcome to remain in the treatment room if it helps everyone feel more comfortable.
If you're under 17, written consent is required, and a parent or legal guardian must remain in the treatment room throughout the massage.
If you have any questions before booking, just give us a call or send us a text. We're happy to help.
100% Pure Avocado Oil.
We didn't choose it because it was trendy, we chose it because it simply performs better. It's deeply nourishing, absorbs beautifully without feeling greasy, and is far less likely to clog pores than many of the oils commonly used for massage. Most importantly, it's something both our guests and our therapists notice and appreciate every day.
Curious why we made the switch? We share the full story, including the surprising reason it started with one of our therapists, in our blog, Why We Use 100% Pure Avocado Oil for Massage.
Because not all LED therapy is created equal.
We chose Celluma because it's backed by meaningful clinical research, not flashy marketing. It offers multiple FDA clearances for therapeutic applications, and it's the same technology we'd choose for our own friends and family.
We believe every product and treatment should earn its place at Bodylogic. Celluma did. If you'd like to learn more about the research behind it, we're always happy to answer your questions or point you to additional resources.
Whether you know exactly what you need or would like a little guidance first, we're here to help.
